Exploring an indoor oasis in Pennsylvania

On this ordinary Sunday, I decided to go explore a place I had recently come across on Instagram. It's called Ott's Exotic Plants in Schwenksville, which is in the general area of Collegeville. I've recently become a plant enthusiast, and while I'm still learning, I'm beginning to amass a small plant army. I have trouble going to a plant store and not coming home with something else to add to my windowsill. I'm running out of space! I'm also a sucker for anything with leaf patterns. Clothes, tablecloths, you name it, it's my new favorite. It's getting to the point of an obsession!

If you're a plant lover like me, you have to check this place out! Even just to see the colors and smell the smells.

Jourdan & Sam at Longwood Gardens

When one of my best friends got engaged this summer, I was over the moon and offered an engagement session to her and her fiance Sam as an engagement present. She suggested Longwood Gardens and wanted a Valentine's Day Save the Date, so we went to shoot during their Orchid Extravaganza in January.

Although we went only an hour after the gardens opened, there were already a lot of people on the grounds. Luckily, mostly everyone was very courteous and accommodating to us. Many people asked them when their wedding was and congratulated them on their engagement.

I'm so lucky to have these wonderful humans in my life, and they proved to be wonderful models. Longwood was an incredibly beautiful backdrop that made the photos so special, as Sam himself is from Kennett Square, and Jourdan works for a garden PR company in Kennett Square. We could not have picked a more magical place.

I'm so excited to be a part of this couple's special day this September as a bridesmaid.
